In this video, Jorge I. Acevedo, MD (Jacksonville, FL), demonstrates the correction of lateral ankle instability with a mini-open modified Brostrom. This technique was adapted from an allarthroscopic technique, which allows for very small incisions and delivers excellent clinical outcomes. Pearls for anchor placement, suture passage, tensioning, and postoperative management are discussed.
